In accordance with the assessment of Drewry Supply Chain Advisors, the container rates continue the increasing tendency. As it is mentioned, their composite World Container Index increased by 1% to $4,339 per 40-foot container.

Freight rates from Shanghai to Rotterdam decreased by 5% or $228 to $4,425, and Rotterdam to Shanghai decreased by 2% or $9 to $574 per 40-foot container.

The rates from Shanghai to Genoa decreased by 8% or $426 to $5,080, while Shanghai to Los Angeles increased by 6% or $350 to $6,244. As it is also reported, those on Shanghai to New York increased by 10% or $813 to $8,706 per 40-foot container.

Meanwhile, the rates from Los Angeles to Shanghai decreased by 1% or $9 to $830, and Rotterdam to New York increased by 4% or $111 to $2,884 per FEU. Furthermore, the freight from New York to Rotterdam this week decreased by 1% or $8 to $1,088 per 40-foot container.
